Properties: Stable under normal temperatures and pressures. Incompatible with water, strong oxidizing agents, acids, strong bases, and alcohols, exposure to moist air or water.
Application: Used as a fluorating agent, is usefull in organic chemistry for the replacement of carbonyl oxygen or hydroxyl group by fluorine atom. It is more safe and mild than Sulfur Tetrafluoride.
Handling: Wash thoroughly after handling. Use spark-proof tools and explosion proof equipment. Do not breathe dust, vapor, mist, or gas. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Use only in a chemical fume hood.
Storage: Keep away from sources of ignition. Store in a cool and. dry place. Store in a tightly closed container.
